Mitchel Byrne in full flight at the Spar Autumn XC

The 2019 Spar Autumn Open cross country race took place at the National Sports Campus Abbottstown on Sunday 20th October. In the senior race Mitchel Byrne was the first Rathfarnham WSAF AC man over the line in 14th position and an even time of 24:00. Back in action David Scanlon was 24th in 24:46, Donagh Powell 40th in 27:16 and Peter Twomey 46th in 29:20. In the Masters race we had two podium finishers. Tommy Hughes had an excellent run to come 1st M55 in a speedy 26:55. Tom Cuddy, who is revving up nicely, was 3rd M60 in 30:50. Louis McCarthy was 10th M35 in 25:38, Ronan Kearns 13th M40 in 28:11 and Edwin Keville 8th M50 in 28:43. Well done to everybody. There were some great individual early season cross country runs.
