Congratulations to all the athletes who represented the club in the National Half Marathon Championships this morning, which were incorporated in the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon in Dublin. Sean Hehir finished in 6th place in a time of 1.06.48, and led teammates Louis McCarthy (10th in 1.10.50) and Eoghain McGinley (13th in 1.11.51) to team silver. Next home from the club was Jonathan Hughes who was 19th in 1.17.53, followed by Peter Toomey (24th in 1.22.25), Micheal Murphy (28th in 1.23.25), Tommy Bishop (1.23.54), Joe Casey (1.24.48), John Farrelly (1.25.12) Barry Mulvihill (1.33.59), Olivier Gaillot (1.34.04) and Tim O’Sullivan (2.02.56). Tommy, Joe and John finished 6th, 7th and 8th in the M50 category respectively to win team gold. Clare Sullivan had a great run to finish 14th in the women’s race in a time of 1.31.07.
