Congratulations to Sean Hehir who had a great run in the European Marathon Championships in Zurich yesterday, finishing 20th overall and leading his team mates Kevin Seaward and Thomas Frazier home to 7th position. Sean displayed excellent pacing to work his way through the field, and despite the hot hilly conditions finished in an excellent time of 2.17.59, only 24 seconds outside his PB. Meanwhile closer to home, Turlough Conway was 6th in the Indaver Duleek 10k in a time of 34.44, followed by Lorraine Nolan who broke the 40 minute mark for the first time to come second in the women's race in 39.32, Denis Daly (53rd in 40:34) and John Hogan (62nd in 41:14). Results are on the Precision Timing site. Also yesterday, Aisling O’Connor was first woman in the inaugural Asics Run for Ross 5k in Marlay Park in a PB of 21 mins. Well done to all.
