Well done to the club athletes who ran in the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon yesterday. First home was Maria Dolan in 20th position in a time of 38.54, followed by Vanessa Sallier (45th in 42.00), Helen Ingram, who made a welcome comeback from injury to finish 102rd in 45.37, Aisling O’Connor (109th in 45.50), and Mairead Kavanagh (703rd in 53.10). Meanwhile, in the Cork City Half Marathon, Shane O’Neill ensured that the club men didn’t miss out on the limelight, finishing 8th overall in a time of 1.13.51 on a tough hilly course.
