Well done to Shane O’Neill and Gerry Doyle who won their age categories in the masters trials at the Gerry Farnan Cross Country races this afternoon. Shane completed the 5 mile course in a time of 27.14 to win the M40 category, and Gerry Doyle was 1st M50 in 28.22. Paul Fleming was 3rd M35 in 27.04, and Denis Everett 10th in 31.21. Louis McCarthy was first home from the club in the senior men’s race, finishing 31st in a time of 26.54, followed by new member Eoghan McGinley who was 37th in 27.19. Mitch Byrne was 6th in the 4 mile junior men’s race in a time of 21.13, and in the women’s 3 mile race Vanessa Sallier was 6th O40 in 19.52.
