Congratulations to Shane O'Neill, Paul Fleming and Ronan Kearns who won the O/35 Masters Men's title in the National Road Relays this afternoon in a time of 19.32, only two seconds outside the course record.  Our O/50 men's team of John McCabe, Tommy Bishop and Joe Casey were also in the medals, scoring team silver in a time of 22.29, in a closely fought battle with third placed Finn Valley.  The Masters Women, Senior Women and Senior Men's races were no less competitive and also produced some excellent performances. Maria Dolan, Vanessa Sallier and Helen French set the stage with the Masters Women's race, finishing 7th in a time of 24.54.  Of our three Senior Women's teams, Catherine Devitt, Valerie McGuinness and Clare Sullivan were first home in 8th place in a time of 22.45, followed by Eimear Fitzmaurice, Lorraine Nolan and Ciara Hassett (14th in 24.40), and Aisling O'Connor, Joanne Hope and Laura Murphy (20th in 27.37).  Finally, our first Senior Men's team of Louis McCarthy, Alan Danagher, Paul Stephenson and Jason Reid finished 7th in 40.37, followed by our second team of Ciaran Aylward, Gerard Claffey, Brian Furey and David Power (13th in 42.32). Well done to all 26 Rathfarnham athletes who represented the club in Raheny today. Full results will be available on the AAI website, and photos are in the gallery.
