A small field of 86 athletes lined up in the sunshine this morning for the second annual Tallaght AC 5 mile road race, held over a tough two lap course.  The race was won by Sean Connolly of the host club in a time of 24.21. A team of six Rathfarnham athletes represented the club, and were led home by Paul Fleming who finished 6th in 26.40.  Next was Ronan Kearns (11th in 27.28), followed by David Scanlon (1st Junior in 27.47), Tommy Bishop (1st M50 in 29.19), and Lawrence Boran (4th Junior in 31.01). John McHugh made a comeback from injury to clock 31.40 and scoop first prize in the M55 category.  Well done to all.
