Well done to all the club athletes who braved icy cold wind and rain during the second BHAA cross country race of the year in Cherryfield Park today. Sonya O'Connell had a great run to finish 4th in the women's 2 mile race, not far behind the leaders in a time of 12.27. Vanessa Sallier also ran well, finishing in 13th position in 13.20, followed by Laura Flynn who was 22nd in 14.09. In the men's 5 mile race, Paul Stephenson finished an excellent 4th in 26.52, followed by Ronan Kearns (6th in 27.32), Gerry Doyle (23rd & 1st O/50 in 29.16), Willie Morris 26th in 29.23), Joe Casey (29th & 2nd O/50 in 29.35), Jonathan Hughes (35th in 30.06), Tommy Bishop (49th in 30:51), Sean Doyle (60th in 31:27), Rory O’Hanlon (65th in 31:45), Andy Davies (98th in 34.21), Eddie O’Mahony (84th in 32:31), Terry Clarke (88th & 2nd O/55 in 32:36), John McHugh (92nd in 32:44), Michael Devine (94th in 32:51), Tony Connolly (131st in 34:16), Daniel Keogh (146th in 34:47), Paul Gorey (161st in 35:16), Peter McDermott (166th in 35:28) and PJ Claffey (199th in 36:57).
