Congratulations to Paul Fleming who won team gold in the M35 category in the British & Irish Masters Cross Country International in Glasgow yesterday, on a very  tough, muddy 8k course.  Paul finished 21st overall and 10th in the M35 race, and along with teammates Ciaran Doherty (1st), Pat Byrne (5th) and Peter O’Sullivan (13th) beat Scotland into a close second place, followed by England in third.  Peter Matthews successfully defended his title to win the men’s overall race.  Donna Mahon was 5th in the women's F40 race in a time of 23.26, and led her team mates Anne Curley (6th in 24.33), Mairead Murphy (7th in 24.35), and Fiona Desmond (11th in 25.38) home to silver on the 6k course behind England.  Northern Ireland were a close third.
