Well done to everyone who represented the club in the National Road Relays in Raheny yesterday. First to line up in the warm afternoon sunshine was Maria Dolan, who got a great start for the Masters Women's team and finished her leg in second place. Vanessa Sallier continued the pace on the 2 mile leg and Zoe Melling held on for silver behind host club Raheny Shamrocks. Next up was the Masters Men's race, in which our M50 team of Tommy Bishop (celebrating his 50th birthday yesterday with his debut race in the category), John McCabe and Brendan Hogan finished a close third to score bronze behinf Liffey Valley and North East Runners. Our M40 team of Padraig MacCriostail, Edwin Keville and Owen Mc Loughlin finished 5th in a race won by Raheny Shamrocks. In the highly competitive Senior Men's race, our A team of Louis McCarthy, Kevin Bolger, Seán Hehir and Brian Furey were 10th in a field of 23 teams, and our B team of Jonathan Hughes, Gerard Claffey, Michael Freeley and Gearoid O'Connor were 21st. Raheny Shamrocks again won gold, with DSD and Letterkenny AC taking silver and bronze.
