We had some great performances in the Dublin Masters Cross Country Championships in Raheny today with the ladies team winning the Dublin Championships and the men's team taking the silver medal. In the 2 mile ladies race the Club was led home by Maria Dolan in 4th position who was also 2nd. O.40, followed by Zoe Melling (3rd O.40), Norita Murphy, Vanessa Sallier, Laura Flynn, Helen Ingram (1st O.55) and Fidelma Ayres (3rd. O. 50). In the mens 4 mile race first home was Mick Bolger, followed by Brendan Hogan(2nd O.50), John McCabe, Joe Casey (3rd O.45), Edwin Keville, Richard Cattle, Owen McLoughlin, John McHugh, Don Carroll (1st O.55), Eoin Murray, Terry Clarke, Philip Wright (3rd.O.55) and PJ Claffey. Well done to all. Surprise prize of the day was two baby rabbits found abandoned in the park, provisionally named Cross & Country, who now have a comfortable new home in leafy Rathfarnham.
