There was a good turnout from the club at the final Dublin Graded meeting at Morton Stadium on Wednesday night. In the men's 3000m A race, Paul Stephenson (6th in 8.32.99), Louis McCarthy ( 7th in 8.37.68) and Robert Murphy (11th in 9.08.14) all ran PBs, and Jonathan Hughes was close behind in 12th place in 9.11.07. Well done to Maura Kearns who won the women's 1500m B race in a time of 5.03.88 at the Dublin Graded meeting on Wednesday. In the men's 1500m A race Mitchell Byrne was 4th in 3.55.30, followed by Paul Stephenson (7th in 4.04.17) and Louis McCarthy (8th in 4.04.49). Congratulations to Maria Dolan who was 9th woman and 2nd O/40 in the Fingal 10k road race yesterday in a net time of 37.52, three seconds off the PB she set in Dunshaughlin last month. Congratulations to Stephen Gaffney who won the Under 23 long jump at the Woodie’s DIY Irish Junior and U23 championships in Tullamore today. Stephen jumped a PB of 7.01m to pick up the gold, a big improvement on his previous best of 6.83 earlier in the month.
