Congratulations to Eilis Connery who placed 2nd woman in the Dublin Mountain Plod this morning, in a time of 101.42 - her second race of the weekend. Raedi Higgins was 9th woman in 124.05. Joe Casey and Adrian fought a close battle for 1st and 2nd M50, finishing in 95.28 and 95.33 respectively. Rathfarnham athletes dominated the front of the field in the Le Chéile 5k road race in Leixlip this morning, with Paul Fleming winning the race in a time of 15.50 and Eoin Flynn taking second place in 16.03. Congratulations to Diarmuid Coogan who completed the Limerick Marathon last Sunday in a time of 3.09.22, finishing 34th overall. Congratulations to everyone who braved fierce heat yesterday to compete for the club in the National 10k Road Championships, which was incorporated in the Great Ireland Run in the Phoenix Park.
