Congratulations to Paul Stephenson who was second in the BHAA 10k road race at the K Club yesterday in 32.55, bettering his time from last Sunday by 9 seconds. The Great Ireland Run lived up to its name today, with team gold for our senior men and possibly our masters women in the National 10k Championships. A number of athletes are also in contention for individual medals. Congratulations to Helen Leonard who ran the Lisbon Half Marathon on Sunday in a time of 1.32.07. Helen finished 34th woman in a field of 37,000 who lined up in the warm Portugese sunshine, with temperatures of up to 24 degrees. Congratulations to Catherine Devitt who was first woman in the Wicklow Way Trail last Saturday in a great time of 128.35. Laura Flynn was 3rd in 140.05 and Helen French 8th in 149.26.
