Sunday May 12th saw the annual running of the Terenure 5 mile road race by our neighbours in Sportsworld. Yet again the weather was great and there was a good turnout of Rathfarnham WSAF AC athletes. We had seven Rathfarnham WSAF AC athletes in action in the National 5k road race on Saturday 4th May with some great results. There was a great Rathfarnham WSAF AC turnout at the IMC Greystones meeting on Saturday May 4th. The best result was from Stephen Gaffney who was 1st in the 200m in a time of 21.91s. There was a good turnout to kick of the very well organized 2019 Dublin Graded T&F Championship series, with the Irishtown track being the first venue. There was a large participation in the 2019 National Road Relay Championships in Raheny. Rathfarnham WSAF AC’s M35 team of Shane O'Neill, Bobby Murphy and Paul Fleming won the silver medal. The morning of Satuday April 27th saw Seán Hehir running yet another class inspirational marathon time of 2:18. Paul Stephenson ran a fantastic 2:29.
