Some good results were recorded by Club Athletes in the 15km. Warriors Run in Strandhill, Sligo. The race included a start on Strandhill beach, followed by a difficult climb up Knocknarea Mountain and around Queen Maeve's Cairn. Peter O'Farrell had a great win in the Gael Force West Adventure race in Wesport on Saturday. The race was 65k long and involved biking, running, hiking up and down Croagh Patrick and kayaking from Killary Harbour to Westport. Peter was closely followed by other Club members with Paul Mahon 3rd, John Caffrey 5th, Liam Dunne 6th and Jason Reid 8th. ...

Ireland won the team event in a mountain race in Zermatt, Switzerland on Sunday. The team included Mark Ryan who was 9th, Barry Minnock 14th, and Sean Heir 16th. Michael Freeley in his first mountain race finished 24th. The lads are at an AAI training camp in Italy and beat teams from Switzerland and Colombia. Details on the AAI website Link ...
