Donna Mahon was second lady home in todays Pear Izumi 10k road race and showed no ill effects of her World Mountain Championships run in Italy last Sunday. She was 24th overall in a time of 37.00. Some good results were recorded by Club Athletes in the 15km. Warriors Run in Strandhill, Sligo. The race included a start on Strandhill beach, followed by a difficult climb up Knocknarea Mountain and around Queen Maeve's Cairn. Laura Flynn was the first lady home in the Eireman Sprint Triathlon in Courtown Co. Wexford on Sunday. Kevin Keane also competed in the Olympic Distance Triathlon. Peter O'Farrell had a great win in the Gael Force West Adventure race in Wesport on Saturday. The race was 65k long and involved biking, running, hiking up and down Croagh Patrick and kayaking from Killary Harbour to Westport. Peter was closely followed by other Club members with Paul Mahon 3rd, John Caffrey 5th, Liam Dunne 6th and Jason Reid 8th. ...

Ireland won the team event in a mountain race in Zermatt, Switzerland on Sunday. The team included Mark Ryan who was 9th, Barry Minnock 14th, and Sean Heir 16th.
