Louis McCarthy continued his good form by coming 5th in the Tom Brennan 5k road race in the Phoenix Park on Sat. 1st January 2011 in a time of 16.02. We had only 3 competitors in yesterday's rescheduled Jingle Bells 5k road race, sponsored by Donore Harriers. Paul Fleming finished in 6th place in a time of 15.31 and was also first over 35. Maria Doyle a new comer to the Club from Bray Harriers ran 20.39 to finish in 85th and was 2nd. Over 40. Raedi Higgins finished in 107th in a time of 22.01. F...

Well done to Jack Mcloughin who ran himself to a standstill to finish in 37th place in the Junior Inter Counties Cross Country Championships in Grancha Park, Derry on Sunday, over a very difficult 6k snow covered course. Sean Hehir ran another brilliant race in the Senior 10K event to finish a credible 13th, while running for his native Clare....

There was a small field in the snow covered 4 mile cross country at The Ward yesterday and we had 2 Club runners who made the trip to the race. Brendan Hogan was 22nd and 1st in M50 category, while Eoin Murray was 35th and 2nd in M50. Well done to both. Full results on BHAA website....

I took part in The Great Ethiopian 10k Run on Sunday 21st November at 8000ft altitude in 24 degrees heat. It was the toughest and most enjoyable race I will ever do in my life and I highly recommend it to anybody from the club interested in taking part next year. I have attached some photos....
