The highlight of the AAI National Track and Field Championships for Rathfarnham WSAF AC was Stephen Gaffney winning the SiIver Medal in the 100m in 10.50 (+1.7m/s) It ended up as a two horse race with Israel OLATUNDE catching Stephen on the line to win by one hundredth of a second, denying Stephen a second title in a row! Well done to Rathfarnham WSAF AC's Brian Furey who not alone completed the Wicklow Round but set a new club record of 18 hours and 36 minutes. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Wicklow Round, it is a 100km route covering 26 mountain peaks with a total of 6000m elevation! Not for the faint hearted!...
