The final Race of the IMRA leinster league was the Great Sugarloaf. Dublin Athletics Graded T&F meeting no. 8 took place on Wednesday 7th August in Tallaght AC Stadium. In the women’s 1mile Rathfarnham WSAF AC’s Lynne Hennessy ran 5:26.73. In the 2019 DLR Bay 10k Rathfarnham WSAF AC’s Paul Stephenson had a podium place coming second overall in 31:56. Archie O’Donnell ran 39:19 and Peter Toomey 39:59. Ever faster Laura Ryan was  6th in the women’s race in 42:34. Well done all. FULL RESULTS HERE...

Well done to Rathfarnham WSAF AC’s Brian Furey who came second on Saturday 3rd August in the trail race for the WMRA Long distance Championships to be held in Patagonia. 42km with 1700m of climbing made for a challenging race with only 40s separating 1st and 2nd in the end. Top form Stephen Gaffney was running in the Flanders Cup meeting in Kortrijk, Belgium on 13th July 2019, He ran an excellent warm up 10.44s 100m but hit a PB of 20.39s in the 200m.
