In what is the first championship race of the year, Rathfarnham WSAF AC athletes had a great day on Sunday January 5th winning quite a few medals! Fantastic running today saw Mitchel Byrne clocking a new PB of 14:32 which is also a new club record! Paul Fleming ran 15:56 to win the M40 race and a man who is finally starting to develop his potential, Shane Grehan, ran a massive 17:37 PB! The Rathfarnham team finished third. Well done to all. The Morton Stadium Xmas Cracker 5k 2019 took place on Sunday December 29th with just two Rathfarnham WSAF AC athletes entering and producing some quality runs. There always seems to be RathfarnhamWSAF AC athletes lurking around Cork on St.Stephen’s Day each year and this year was no exception. The 2019 National Novice Cross Country Championships took place on 15th December at Cow Park, Dunboyne, Co.Meath. Conditions were good and muddy! Having recently run the Frankfurt and New York Marathons very successfully in one week the editors were amazed at David Power raising the bar again by running the Waterford half marathon twice at the same time to finish 12th and 20th simultaneously.
