Congratulations to Sean Hehir who won the East Clare 10k in Kilkishen on Sunday. Sean's time of 31.30 was over a minute faster than the second placed athlete. We had 16 runners in todays Adidas Half Marathon. First home was Michael Freeley in 12th in 73.49. He was followed by Peter O'Farrell in 26th in 76.30. Michael and Peter are well on their way for this year's Dublin Marathon. Next came Derek Bain in yet another PB of 83.35, Colm Murray 84.51, Willie Morris 85.27, Mike Long 88.44, 'Ollie' O'Neill 89....

This race replaces the Perl Izumi 10k and was organised by our own Brendan Hogan. First home from the Club was Paul McGovern 10th in 35.11, followed by Joe Casey 25th in 37.32, Adrian Tucker 32nd in 38.45, Philip Wright in 41.15 and 1st Over 55, Paul Gannon in 41.33 and Peter McDermott in 41.51 and 1st Over 60. This mountain running championships race was unique in the Club history when 3 of our athletes competed on the Irish team.
