We had 4 club athletes in the Malta Half Marathon on Sunday. First home was Kevin Bolger 11th in 76.29, Donna Mahon 32nd, 4th lady and 1st O.35 in 80.01, Mick Bolger 40th in 82.01 and Brendan Hogan 43rd and 1st O.50 in 82.10. Full results on Malta Marathon website. Well done to all....

We had some great performances at todays' national senior cross country championships in Santry. The ladies team won national Gold in the B Category and was led home by Helen Leonard 29, followed by the ever improving Vanessa Sallier 30, Ciara Hassett 32 and Grainne Connor 34. We had some great performances in todays BHAA Aer Lingus Cross Country races in a very muddy ALSAA. First home for the Club was Padraig MacCriostail in 6th place and was 1st. O.40. Congratulations to Seán Hehir on winning the Munster Senior Cross Country title in Kilnaboy, Co. Clare, on Sunday. Seán took out the pace from the off and opened a 3 second lead over the chasers Sean Mc Grath and James Mc Carthy, East Cork (Gold and Silver medal winners in the All Ireland Intermediate Cross Country 2007). In the ladies 2.5 mile race we had 2 club athletes. Vanessa Sallier was 11th. and 1st O.40. Vanessa was closely followed by Miriam McCormack in 12th.
