Rathfarnham WSAF AC’s Stephen Gaffney travelled to Salamanca in Spain on June 8th. The travel was well worth it when he hit a super new 100m PB of 10.60 (-0.4m/s) and was 3rd in the 200m in his second fastest ever 200m in 21.27 (+0.5m/s). This guy just keeps building and building. In the Bohermeen 5k on Friday 7th June 2019 we had two Rathfarnham WSAF AC athletes competing. Kevin Donagher was 9th overall in 16:06 and Bohermeen native John McCabe was 2nd M60 in a SB of 19:34. Well done to both of you....Author: Denis Daly, Created: 29-06-2019 13:43
There were some great Rathfarnham WSAF AC results at the Irish Milers Club Le Ceile meeting, Leixlip on the 8th June 2019. Shane O’Neill was 1st in the 3000m in a fantastic PB of 9:08.11. Great depth of club talent in the 1500m saw Mitchel Byrne coming 1st in a time of 3:55.01 with Cillian Doherty 4th in 4:03.38. The Leinster Senior and Masters Outdoors Track & Field Championships took place in Tullamore on Sunday 2nd June 2019. Rathfarnham WSAF AC athletes all performed very well with the following results. There was some great running at the Dublin Athletics Track & Field meeting no.3 at the Irishtown Stadium on Wednesday 29th May. Highlight of the evening was Seán Hehir winning the Dublin Track 10000m Championships which is incorporated into the meeting.
